The disposal of unusable tires in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte

Abstract

CONAMA Resolution No. 258/99, which regulates the process of disposal of tires, there was the structuring of a reverse logistics chain of scrap tires in the country. This reverse lo gistics referring from the collection of tires in the collection points to their final destination, most of these waste tires is transformed fuel in cement kilns. This work aims to collect information about the reverse logistics of tires in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte made by tire retail companies located in the city, and through this information can identify whether the reverse logis tics and or does not apply as required by Resolution CONAMA No. 258/99 regulating the disposal of tires, and what difficulties so that the regulation is enforced.
