A study on the influence of new technologies in the labor market

This article discusses the industry 4.0 revolution, taking into account the emergence and adoption of new technologies in the workplace. The research aimed to analyze and identify what the perception of the students of a College of higher education in Itabira-MG, as the influence of new intelligent machines in the workplace, your relationship with the adaptation and the emergence of new professions and skills. As to the methodological aspects, this research-oriented approach was used, quantitative data collection was carried out through the application of a structured questionnaire applied with 272 respondents with the universe characterized a census. The information was collected and processed through descriptive statistics by providing the results in this research. It was found with the results, that most of the respondents agree with the need to understand about the Fourth Industrial Revolution, technology developments in the labour market and in the workstations. As regards innovation and implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) of the companies, the students agree that the new era of the industry will lead to a greater competitiveness of the labor market and as a facilitator of the productive process. The data show the importance of preparing people for the job market with soft skills of the new professional profile, as well as a strong trend in developing skills for Industry 4.0 and better performance of organizational processes.
