an analysis of new trends to combat public insecurity

The welfare state aims to ensure dignity and the provision of quality public services to the community at large. One of these services is public security, which is of paramount importance given the growth of criminal factions in Brazil. Therefore, this study aims to discuss how efficient and innovative public administration can assist in the development of a public security system that effectively responds to organized crime. This research is qualitative in nature and consists of an exploratory literature review conducted on scientific articles, works related to the topic of public security, and studies from government entities. The results highlight the need to establish a new paradigm of public security based on democratic principles and the use of new technologies.
