The importance of internal communication in organizations

Communication presents several benefits for the performance of organizations, causing companies to seek to inform themselves about the main issues related to the theme. Thus, this research has as its main objective to identify the most used themes in the subject internal communication in organizations during the period of 12 years. For this, the methodology used was bibliographic research with a qualitative approach. In data collection, relevant articles were used during the 12-year period. As far as information about the results is concerned, four distinct themes on the subject were found: internal communication in organizations; the importance of internal communication in the results of organizations; the importance of internal communication as a strategic tool in organizations; the importance of internal communication in relationships between employees. In relation to the first subject, the importance of internal communication was identified as it promotes integration among employees. For the second, the results led to the conclusion that the role of managers in the construction of internal communication is extremely important for the achievement of the desired results. The third subject identified the importance of strengthening the relationships between individuals that can be acquired through this tool. In the fourth and last subject, the importance of promoting the exchange of information and helping the learning and relationship between employees was addressed. And from the approach of the most used themes in the subject internal communication could be evidenced the importance of communication by the results brought in all organizational spheres.
