Abstract

In order to maintain competitive in the market, companies have built innovative strat egies. Credit concession is one of these strategies that allows an expressive increase in sales. The general objective of this research was to identify the credit policy in an equipment leasing compa ny located in Itabira/MG. The specific objectives were to characterize the company, to present its credit policy, and to connect its established policy with the literature. The methodology was based on a qualitative descriptive approach, using the documentary analysis as a research method. It was concluded that although the company presents a credit policy with specific rules and patterns to at tend its clients, and to maintain the default rate balanced, it does not use all requirements presented in the literature to constitute its credit policy.
