The Brazilian judiciary gained relevance by judging emblematic cases such as Mensalão, Operation Lava Jato and the End of the World Inquiry. This possibility is explained by the strengthening of neoconstitutionalist theses within Brazilian doctrine and the proliferation of judicial activism in various cases, in addition to several cases of judicialization of politics. Therefore, this work aims to discuss how neoconstitutionalism and modes of judicial activism have become important elements for strengthening the Brazilian judiciary. The research on screen has a qualitative character, reproducing itself as a bibliographical research carried out in legal works and articles in the Google Scholar search engine.
