Abstract

This article aims a theoretical incursion by the interrelations possible of being observedbetween business strategy and organizational variables such as power, culture, structure andprocesses, from the conceptions of schools of thoughts or models presented by scholars such asMintzberg, Lampel, Michael Porter, Chandler and others, all of them experts in differentapproaches of strategic management of companies. Without mischaracterize the merit ofclassical and generic approaches, the focus and the emphasis, therefore, are put here invariables that are out of a pure rationality and out of a merely functionalist approach, that haveguided most of the studies about strategy.
