Abstract

The global scenario of constant changes that impact society as a whole, and in partic ular school, requires the adoption of a modern education compatible with the knowledge society, combined with science and technology. To meet this demand, educational institutions need quality institutional programs that make managing their processes more effective. In this sense, the objec tive of this research is to verify how a program of a Brazilian foundation specializing in organiza tional management consulting is structured, with a focus on improving processes and educational outcomes and their contributions to achieve school effectiveness. For this work, a case study of a qualitative approach was chosen, using a documentary survey as a data collection technique. The theoretical basis and the data discussed in this case study show that the schools of Basic Education can make the appropriate use of models and tools of strategic quality management for the system atic development of institutional processes in the curricular and pedagogical spheres besides the administrative and and thus provide the student with a better education, with a view to an effective school.
