Abstract

This work presented to obtain the title of Bachelor of Law. It aims to present the accessibility laws for people with disabilities, more specifically the deaf person arrested, in the context of legal assistance, who the deaf person is, how they should be served in order to guarantee their constitutional rights and what are the necessary devices that should be made available. A survey was carried out using a questionnaire to understand how the Accessibility Law is currently applied, the level of knowledge of civil servants about the deaf person in prison and the laws that protect them. In addition to pointing out the need for specific knowledge in law by translators interpreters to better serve the deaf detainee. The results show that there is much to be done to guarantee the deaf person under constitutional rights, such as wide-ranging and contradictory defense. The TJMG together with CEFLAG/MG must promote information and training to qualify the employees equally in terms of the Accessibility Law and how to deal with the deaf and the translator interpreter must be qualified with minimum knowledge in the area of Law to act satisfactory way of monitoring the deaf person in order to ensure a better understanding between the deaf person and the legal operators.
