Abstract

The article aims to address the granting of the Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC) - a social protection policy aimed at guaranteeing a monthly minimum wage to elderly and disabled individuals with low income. However, this benefit has been the subject of criticisms that are generating impacts on social security in the country. Thus, this paper will discuss social protection policies and propose solutions that balance the guarantee of individual rights and the sustainability of the system.
