This scientific article aims to address the legal aspects of trans women's participation in female sports competitions, exploring the complexity of the topic and changes in sports policies. The research uses a multidisciplinary approach that combines legal, political and gender issues to analyze the inclusion of transgender athletes in sport. It is based on reviews of sports policies from different countries, relevant scientific studies, public discussions and debates on the subject, as well as legal references. The methodology adopted in the article involves the review of bibliographies based on books, scientific articles, academic works and a detailed analysis of the sports policies of different countries, focusing on the approaches of Canada and New Zealand. The article seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of the complexities and challenges faced in the search for equitable and rights-respecting solutions in the context of trans women's participation in women's sporting competitions.
