Exploring the potential of applications in teaching digital radiology in dentistry

In the digital age in which we live, technology plays a fundamental role in several areas of education, including areas of health. That said, teaching digital radiology in dentistry, in particular, has been significantly improved by the integration of mobile applications and other digital tool. This work proposes, in detail, a systematic literature review to examine the growing use of applications in teaching digital imaging in dentistry, highlighting their benefits, challenges and future perspectives. It can be concluded that innovation and technology in teaching dental radiology have been crucial to improving the quality of professional training, facilitating learning and the practical application of knowledge, and, consequently, raising the standard of dental care provided to patients.
