Training of public employees to care in the health area
A case study in Santa Bárbara-MG

For quality care in the public health sector it is necessary to train the servers, in order to make them more prepared and able to perform their activities in the best way. The importance of this training should be recognized not only by the manager, but primarily by employees, who will be able to develop their techniques and acquire knowledge. Based on this perspective, this article aimed to identify the importance of training public employees in Santa Barbara for care in the Health sector. The research was qualitative and quantitative in this way through a case study conducted in the city's FHP. For data collection, semi structure interviews were applied with the Health Coordinator and a questionnaire with screening nurses. The treatment of these data occurred through the analysis of descriptive content and statistics. Due to the analysis of the results, it was observed that screening nurses portray the care provided as quality, and that such care has continuous improvement by their participation in training programs. It can also be perceived that in the view of public servants the training and training received are sufficient for the effective exercise of their functions, however, there is a dissatisfaction of employees regarding the days and times that the trainings are for them these factors are seen as difficulties in adherence to the training. Addressing the interview with the Health Coordinator, the importance of employee participation in training was evidenced, and the formulation of a nursing protocol for the procedures to be improved and standardized.
