Abstract

Unemployment in Brazil reaches high rates, affecting around 92 million people, according to research by IBGE. Lack of qualification and technological advancement are some of the main causes. Changes in labor laws, investment in infrastructure, and improvement in the population's skills are possible solutions. Unemployment also affects university students, with differences between public and private universities. Having a degree increases employment chances. Unemployment influences the financial market as job generation increases money circulation and affects inflation.
