Abstract

This article will discuss the impact of litigious divorce on children and adolescents and how the judiciary's psychosocial sector aims to mitigate these consequences. In these scenarios of litigious separation, it's very common for the rights of minors to be igno red and overshadowed by parental needs. With this in mind, this paper specifically seeks to highlight the problems this behavior causes and to demonstrate the importance of the psychosocial sector. The aforementioned sector strives to play an impartial role, aiming to ensure the applicability of child and adolescent principles, as well as to verify that their rights are being upheld. Professionals, through social studies, will assess whether, even amidst a conflict ridden scenario, the most vulnerable party has an active voice. Thus, this article seeks to identify the potential impacts of litigious divorce, specifically aiming for their prevention, as well as to reinforce the crucial role of the psychosocial sector in addressing this topic.
