This article aims to analyze the new type of criminal practice known as "Novo Cangaço", which spreads across Brazilian states and its connection with the roots of organized crime in Brazil, as well as the existing structuring with the current Organizations criminals. It was also concerned with examining possible preventive measures to reduce the outbreak of crimes, in particular, the intelligence activity of the competent state bodies. For that, the methodology of bibliographic review was used. The results indicated that Organized Crime, notably thefts from financial institutions with the use of explosives, has been strongly structured and causing enormous social and economic problems on the national scene, noting the need for further studies about the roots of the problem and the expansion of preventive and intelligence actions, in order to contain the advance of the criminal factions that are mentors of such conduct and to protect the population from the violent criminal practice that is multiplying.
