Abstract

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a complex condition that influences the neurological development of individuals. In the pediatric dentistry context, the importance of socio-emotional factors in caring for children is recognized, especially those with special needs, such as those with ASD.This work aims to show effective approaches to caring for children with ASD. Through a literature review, we highlight the importance of pediatric dentistry monitoring, and the development of methodologies to improve communication and the appropriate use of techniques such as anesthesia and conscious sedation.
