Estudo da pavimentação de rodovias
Keywords:
paving; earthworks; asphaltAbstract
The proposed interdisciplinary degree project offers a comprehensive and comprehensive overview of the study of earthworks and highway paving. This research aims to detail the steps involved in the construction of the pavement, from the preparation of the underlying soil to the application of the final layer. Additionally, the project also briefly explores the history of pathologies that affect flexible pavements, providing a historical context to understand the challenges faced in road maintenance and durability. The annex will include studies carried out by researchers who focused on alternative materials for paving, as well as recycling practices applied to this context. Illustrative images of the various phases that make up the layers of a pavement will also be made available for a clearer visual understanding. This project aims to fill a knowledge gap by bringing together information about earthmoving and highway paving into a single body of work. By detailing each stage of pavement construction, from initial preparation to finishing touches, it will offer a complete view of the process. By addressing historical pathologies, it will provide insights into how the industry has evolved to address challenges. Additionally, research into alternative materials and recycling will bring to light innovative approaches that seek to improve the sustainability and efficiency of road pavements. The inclusion of explanatory images will not only help to better visualize each phase of pavement construction, but will also enrich the reader's understanding of the concepts covered.
