Abstract

After the disastrous consequences caused by the degradation of the environment, society became more aware and concerned about ecological issues, which led to changes in the productive processes of industries. This article was developed with the aim of presenting the advantages of using sustainable methods, showing cleaner production as a sustainable and efficient environmental management tool. Analyzing the environmental and economic benefits obtained with the use of the tool, both for society and companies, as well as for the environment. Proposing changes in the management of companies in order to reduce the release of waste and pollutant emissions into the environment and consequently reduce environmental impacts.
