Abstract

Due to the increasing demand for buildings, civil construction has become the focus of the national economy. The perspective of society's modernization through the carrying out of infrastructure works with housing, industrial and/or labor purposes culminated in an accelerated growth of this important segment. Due to this rapid expansion, it was observed that some buildings were not within an expected quality standard, in addition to presenting pathologies in the structure, which are imperfections identified after the concrete cured. In this sense, this study emphasized the importance of applied norms and the labor forms of the executive process of one of the main elements of buildings: Concrete. The correct handling of the aggregates that make up the concrete and the necessary tests required by ABNT standards are some guarantees for the application of this element. However, if the professionals involved in the activities are not trained and do not have adequate experience, the final product may still present pathologies. Such imperfections can be identified as cracks, fissures, drills. A test carried out to ensure quality and safety in different constructive standards is known as Fck - Feature Compression Know, translated as Test of Characteristic Resistance of Concrete to Compression. This article brings information about these factors and how they were treated, so that through this information it will be possible to prevent the emergence of these pathologies.
