Abstract

This work discusses the risks of work accidents involved in tasks that are performed at height in the company EVE Construção e Serviços Ltda., a Small Business (EPP) (ANNEX B) and also presents how to minimize or even eliminate the possibility of new accidents at work, either due to lack of information and/or awareness, especially if related to the lack of use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the work environment. To substantiate the theme of this study, some rules relevant to the area of Occupational Safety and Medicine were analyzed, as well as how to apply them if the work environment involves tasks in places with different floors, that is, involving scaffolding. The results showed that the best way to avoid accidents is, in principle, to signal the places under the risk(s) of falling, to make workers aware of the reason for using PPE provided by the company, and to monitor compliance than the company establishes in areas of prevention.
