Economic effects on the use of residential solar energy in Minas Gerais

Abstract

Due to the advance of global warming, it is necessary to generate and use renewable energy sources, with photovoltaic energy being one of the main ones in this group. In addition to the eco-efficient aspect, Minas Gerais currently has the most expensive electricity in Brazil. Given this scenario, this work aims to analyze the economic effects of the implementation of a residential photovoltaic generation and energy system, analyzing the investment costs, as well as the financial return, in addition to the benefits for the environment. With that, a case study will be carried out, in order to obtain the necessary data for such analysis.
