The world was exposed to a new highly virulence pathogen, called Coronavirus, defining a pandemic state. Its transmission can occur through the airway or through contact of mucous membranes with infected secretions, which may be present on contaminated surfaces. Dentistry is one of the health areas most affected by this virus due to direct contact with the oral cavity of patients, since the dissemination of small droplets during sneezing or speech is the main transmission route. This study aims to review the literature and suggest possible changes in the conduct of dental imaging tests after the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. For this, a literature review was carried out in the PubMed, Scielo and Google Scholar databases. The results showed that the relevant literature had some kind of adaptation in the agreements involving radiological care applicable to dentistry. It is concluded that it is necessary to adopt additional measures that reinforce biosafety during care, reducing the exposure of operators and patients to possible vectors.
