Abstract

With technological advances and changes occurring frequently around the world, especially on this moment, due to COVID-19, the option of education using digital platforms makes companies intensify online training. In view of this scenario, we sought to know the perception of users about the effectiveness of training through online platforms. This article is a quantitative survey using likert scale, descriptive, through the survey application applied by social networks. The results showed that an online modality is an alternative that provides resources. In users opinion, environment interference can hinder the training. The survey also revealed the main advantages of online training, like flexibility, lower costs and accessibility. In the other hand, an impossibility to interact and exchange experiences, interference from the environment and greater discipline are some disadvantages. Most respondents are satisfied with conducting online training and say that their companies practice this modality about 80% of online training and 20% of presence. It is easy to absorb the content, the expectations were met, and they feel ready to apply what they learn, which complete the effectiveness of online training. However, most people still think conventional training is more effective. In the current pandemic situation, given the work environment at home, as suggested, it is important to deepen the study using new research with qualitative method that could reveal in more detail interferences and difficulties, as a basis for future results.
