This article analyzes the role of Mercosur and its application in the social security sphere, focusing on the retirement benefit by contribution, as well as seeks to assess the obstacles to the effective application of economic integration and the impact on countries party to the Treaty of Asunción. To achieve this objective, it will present relevant concepts and factors such as Mercosur, Social Security, Social Security and Retirement.
