Abstract

The overall goal of this work is to investigate how reverse logistics can be profitable to an organization, generating results in the organizational processes. This is a qualitative and descriptive research performed in ten supermarket companies in the region of Itabirito, Minas Gerais, having as subject their managers. The data collection was performed through semi- structured interviews. The study showed that the managers of the companies surveyed realize the importance of reverse logistics to companies as a tool of support to the business, highlighting the following results: the increase in the number of clients, as a company that cares about the environment and the visual aspect of the city, certainly, there is a big difference. Before the findings, suggested research quantitative measures, covering a larger number of respondents and using metric capable of generalizations in order to contribute to the better understanding of the importance of reverse logistics as a business differential.
