The importance of information systems for decision making in strategic planning in private companies

This article presents the importance of Information Systems for decisions in the strategic planning of private companies. For this, the concepts of planning, goals, indicators, information and processes, the relationship between them and how the use of systems can benefit decision-making in private companies will be addressed. The expected results through decision support with the use of technology are the addition of value to the product and/or service to the customer and, consequently, achieve a competitive advantage, business continuity and process improvement to reduce costs and increased productivity.
