Open Monograph Press application for creating the digital monograph library of a higher education institution

A case study

Abstract

Presents the procedures for the technical treatment of monographs in the open access software Open Monograph Press, a project developed at Faculdade Minas Gerais. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the step-by-step adopted in the creation of records in Famig's Digital Monograph Library and the main difficulties encountered with the use of this software. It is considered that the chosen software met the project needs, however some limitations need to be studied so improvements can be made.
