Professional perspectives of Accounting Sciences students at the State University of Mato Grosso, “Jane Vanini” campus

Accounting science is called “Applied Social” because it uses various social elements in its studies, including Administration, Economics and Statistics. The present study aims to identify the professional perspectives of students in Accounting Sciences, at the State University of Mato Grosso, Cáceres Campus. Descriptive research was carried out, using a survey as a methodological procedure with a quantitative approach. Data collection occurred through a questionnaire being applied in person and online, via Google Forms, obtaining a sample of 155 responses. total of 281 students. The results obtained reveal that most students are female, representing a young audience. It was possible to notice that most students want to work in public bodies, approximately 85.30%. Regarding the sub-areas, such as self-employment, the greatest interest between the two phases was Fraud Investigator (43%). “In teaching” are interested in “Teacher” (42.20%).
