Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the Principle of Sustainable Development, and the idea of sustainability and the dilemma facing the sustainable development. It analyzes the extraction of oil below the salt layer in the seabed (pre-salt) as well as the benefits and losses brought by this extraction. In the end sought to demonstrate that the pre-salt exploration and its benefits outweigh its losses and its extraction would be feasible. This topic has a great importance since the right to an environment healthy and ecologically balanced is a collective right and consequently the damage to the environment affects the entire society.
