Abstract

The importance of the dropshipping model for companies that have problems with inventory was analyzed. The opted research type was qualitative, descriptive and field. A non-probabilistic sample was chosen, unstructured interviews were carried out, it was decided to treat the data using content analysis and there was no research restriction. It was concluded that a business model without inventory has positive points, such as low costs of opening and maintaining the business, lower risk of opening the business and great diversity of dealed products, however, negative points were also identified, such as lack of communication with the supplier, long delivery times and the need to work with low value products. In this way, it was observed that the model has greater management facilities due to low opening and maintenance costs, but it does not remain free of problems, thus making an analysis necessary before opening a business.
