Abstract

This article discusses the responsibility for crimes against honor caused by Fake News, in a scenario where the aforementioned illicit acts contain strong political motivations, exposing reflections on the absence of efficient penalties, which are capable of considerably reducing the amount of slander, defamation , injuries, as well as the disclosure of untrue facts capable of exerting influence on the electorate, conducts that were perceived during the last 04 years prior to the election, in addition, the role of social media as a means of disseminating fake News, which gave an almost immediate speed of disinformation to voters, as well as a new, more efficient way of creating fake news and disinforming the public through DeepFake, in view of all these factors presented, it is understandable that the electoral process in Brazil is subject to several manipulation attempts, which can They are intended to convince people to follow a certain ideology, which was created by a political group.
