Abstract

Coworking is a revolutionary new way of thinking about the work environment that is becoming more and more adept. In this sense, the work aims to identify the factors that drive the creation and development of coworking in the city of Itabira/MG. As a methodology, it is a qualitative, descriptive approach, a case study, made with a coworking company, through an interview, using an open questionnaire, with an entrepreneur. As results found, the driving factors were: having a lower investment cost in relation to a traditional office; evaluate the profiles of office coworking users; the importance of understanding the coworking culture; the importance of full knowledge of the objective/purpose of the coworking space; conducting a feasibility study detailing the services to be provided by coworking users; think of investment as a form of innovation in the market; importance of the relationship and possibility of future business; the issue of the user wanting to escape the informality of the home environment. Therefore, it can be a good investment.
